This is not a cheap piece of crap. I've had mine for a couple of years now and it has shown no signs of wear and tear. Works and looks brand new. I enjoy the digital features, and it heats up to 200 in under a minute. You can lock it in to whatever heat setting you want, so you don't get varience. The swivel cord never gets twisted or kinked. I've loved this iron since the first day I used it! Very much worth the price. It's quite sturdy and well crafted and can take a beating. I have naturally curly hair, and I always get a smooth silky finish that lasts until I wash again. I recommend using a dime sized amount of Morrocan Oil mixed with a small squirt of silk protein for a perfect finish every time. If you live in a muggy climate, end with a short burst of a light antifrizz hairspray.
