Works well, but smells funky Aug 12, 2007
By Uschi I have tried many of the dry shampoos on the market and think that Batiste is hands-down the best value for the money. It works well on my super-super-oily hair (when I say super, I mean it needs to be washed every 12 hours). After using the product, my hair doesn't look quite as good as when it's freshly washed, but I'm able to skip a day of shampooing and get away with wearing my hair down for most of the day. It also doesn't leave too much residue on my hair or scalp. My only issue is with the smell. I can't adequately describe it other than saying that it's just not pleasant. It's not a bad smell, it just takes some getting used to. Klorane is my favorite line, but it's terribly pricey. Algemarin doesn't work quite as well, but smells better. Bumble & Bumble is an utter sham.

love this stuff! Jun 15, 2009
By VTQT i have tried several dry shampoos and this one is my second favorite (my favorite was made by Samy and has been discontinued). I hated paying big bucks for the name brands (Bumble&Bumble, Keratase, etc.) and was convinced that i could find a cheaper alternative. This dry shampoo costs less than $8 (look around, some places sell it for $5, some for $11...you just have to be savvy about it) and works just as well as the pricey brands.
The best way to use it is to spray through roots while slightly lifting and parting the hair, let it sit in hair for 3-5 minutes (don't worry that it will look gray or powdery in some areas) and then rake fingers thru hair blending it in from roots to tips, lastly, take a bristle brush and comb thru to continue blending any that is left. if you use too much and feel that you can still see powdery areas just keep blending with your fingers or the brush and spray less next time. If you use way too much towel dry your hair with a damp towel.

excellent product Mar 30, 2008
By K-sters I looove this stuff!! I have really thick dry hair that i absolutely hate to have to wash every day but because my scalp gets so oily, I have to unless I use this fabulous product. Because my hair is dry (everywhere other than the scalp) I actually like the way my hair looks more with this than actually shampooing it and having it look super dry all over. If you feel like it "builds up" and isn't working, you're probably just spraying too close. Spray from far away, let it settle for a minute or so than brush/comb it through like the directions say. And it really doesn't need THAT much. It actually takes a few min for it to absorb all the oil. I think some of the reviewers who didn't like it probably put too much based on what they are saying. As far as the smell goes, it is really not that bad. My mom actually LIKED the smell. I can't say I like it, but I'm not grossed out by it at all, and besides it goes away almost right away. As far as baby powder vs. this thing..I hate the smell of baby powder so much but sometimes I will sprinkle a little in conjuction with this product and it works GREAT. I can go three days without washing my hair and it looks awesome (And I have really greasy hair.) LOVE IT.

Wow!! No More Greasy Roots!! Dec 07, 2008

I bought this product recently and was amazed at how well it works. I was one of those women who HAD to wash her hair EVERY DAY!!! My roots would get SOOO oily, but the rest of my hair looked great. I had tried using baby powder before, but the white residue it left behind left me wanting for another alternative. After using this product my hair looked FANTASTIC from roots to ends. My hair is wavy and always tends to look better on the second day, but those greasy roots made it impossible for me to go without washing my hair everyday. Plus, I blow dry to style so I was seriously concerned about frying my hair with every day wash. Now I don't have that problem and thanks to this product I can feel confident going to work with fresh, clean smelling hair.

Love this product! Nov 19, 2006
By Shopaholic Due to health limitations, I have searched high and low for a dry shampoo that actually worked and didn't break the budget. I hit the jackpot with the Batiste Dry Shampoo. By following the directions, it truly made my hair smell and feel clean, but most importantly, made my hair plump up - wild and full!! It was great working with my hair, and every single time I use it, I get compliments on my hair. Go figure! (I don't get them when I have freshly washed and fixed my hair! lol) I only wish it came in a bigger can - I'm on a mission to see if I can find one.
