Best styling product ever Aug 28, 2006
By Julie Richardson
"mad scientist"
I've been using Sumo Tech for years, and as far as I'm concerned it's the best sculpting product out there. Great for creating shape and texture - it's light enough for my fine, thin, straight hair. It doesn't have that greasy shine that comes with most pomades, but you can mix with a little B&B Brilliantine or Styling Wax if you want a little more gloss. A little bit of Sumo Tech goes a long way - just put a little water on your hand if it dries out while styling instead of using more. You can also touch up your hairstyle during the day using damp fingertips.

MAXIMUM HOLDING POWER Jul 09, 2005
By Gail Cooke There are very few "his and her" items in our bath area, but this is one of them - and a favorite!
Bumble and Bumble's Sumotech is a light yet strong-hold hair moulding compound. It's perfect for those spikes that look great on many guys, and it's great for keeping a curl or three in place, especially during these hot summer months.
It's a cinch to use - for me, as I use it only on a side curl or two, I simply work a dab through my fingers and apply to hair. Then, come rain, wind or temps in the 90s, those curls stay in place.
Sumotech is fragrance free and not sticky like many sprays.
In the Sumotech box is a fun card that lets you know just where you stand in the tech area - Hi = Computer, Lo = pencil; Hi = DVD, Lo + Drive-in. You may be surprised by your areas of expertise, but not by the holding power of Sumotech!

Sumo Tech VS. Crew Fiber Nov 25, 2008
By listenswithwolves Having used both SumoTech and Crew Fiber, I have concluded that SumoTech is by far the better product. Besides being a softer touch, SumoTech is water-soluble and rinses right off your hands, whereas Crew Fiber is wax/oil-based and really takes a lot of hand-washing to remove.

Not too heavy but holds. Jan 31, 2009
By M. Hertzler Much better than Sumo Wax, Sumo Tech is softer and less greasy. It holds without being stiff. Just a smidgen of this pulled through short hair gives texture and a light hold with very little weight.
Perfect.

Second to none. Sep 30, 2008
By shinhito This hair gunk is fantastic. Sure there are similar products out there (American Crew Fiber), but this one beats out anything else in the smells department. My only complaint would be that the hold is not that strong; this product is more for texture and awesome. If you want a iron-grip hold, check out SumoWax from Bumble and Bumble, it's another fantastic product.
