Careful -- Shipping weight noted is deceptive Jul 19, 2009
By Love to buy online! I love Amazon. But just a warning on this one. The item description does not state how big the bottle is that they are selling for this price. They only state a shipping weight. The shipping weight shows 6.4 oz; but the picture shows a 3 oz. I called Amazon to confirm the size of the actual bottle (3 oz? 5oz?), and I was told that this is the 3 oz. bottle for this price.

Outrageously expensive Oct 07, 2009

The picture clearly shows the 3oz bottle, no surprises here as teh previous reviewer says. This cleaner is too expensive for what is is, please look for an alternative, any mild cleanser will do. I love the sponge, the cleanser is a ripoff.
Ok Cleanser Apr 24, 2012
By I. Peters After a recent unsatisfactory experience with Mineral Fusion's Brush Cleaner - 3.45 oz - Liquid I decided to try the Beautyblender Cleanser. The product did a good job getting my brushes clean. I have several light-colored brushes that the Mineral Fusion Cleaner left less than clean. The Beautyblender was much better at returning them almost back to their original color.
Overall though, I thought that the process of getting my brushes clean was rather lengthy. It took quite a while to get the rich lather to rinse out and the water to run clear again (and yes, I only used the recommended tiny amount of product). Having to use that much water and being forced to rinse for that long also meant to get the brushes wetter than I would have liked, and several times I got them wet up to the handle - something that should be avoided in order to keep the brushes from falling apart. But how else to get all that lather out?
So - the three stars are strictly for the cleaning ability which is good. Personally I think that the same results can be achieved with a mild shampoo for significantly less money. In the future I will go back to the MAC Brush Cleanser 235ml/7.9oz it just seems to work better for me and also is better for the longevity of my brushes, even though it quite a bit more expensive.
Great Product Feb 29, 2012

Product works very well. I use it to clean all my brushes as well as the Beauty Blender it is intended for.
Not just for sponges Dec 01, 2010
By D. McDonald Originally I bought this cleaner with the sponges, but now I just buy the cleaner. It works great on my make-up brushes, or even a bit on a q-tip to remove mascara from under my eyes. It is very gentle, and dispenses easily. It seems expensive, but it lasts a very long time. The sponges last forever also and are of good quality.
